Meanwhile, some interesting housing bills are making their way through the state. The focus is on ADUs (auxiliary dwelling units) or guest houses. The two that caught my eye: 1: AB-976 - This bill aims to prevent local agencies from imposing an owner-occupancy requirement on any accessory dwelling unit. 2: AB 1033 - This bill addresses the sale or conveyance of ADUs. Homeowners will have the opportunity to sell their ADUs by creating condo ownership. Read more details on each bill
