SPRING is my favorite time of year. To me, it’s all about color and the outdoors. Finally, there is a chance to make all those somewhat sad pots on my deck come alive with a burst of Spring color. So outside, I will go, but with yet another challenge on my plate, time to run my second LA Marathon on March 20th. . Making the commitment to run this again was a real struggle, now knowing what lies ahead, the dreaded mile twenty. However, the Rosebowl half marathon earlier this year was a blast.
Let’s chat real estate, shall we? Specifically, Inventory and Pricing across our Foothill communities.
Inventory: Why not see for yourself. If you are a data-driven personality, you will love this, just for you. An interactive real-time data trend shows you exactly how much inventory we have now, dating back 5 years. Here’s an example of what to expect. In May 2017, there were 1508 homes actively listed for sale compared to 188 homes listed for sale today.
Pricing: This interactive graph will allow you to see the ups and downs monthly for the past 5 years. Here’s an example regarding pricing. The median sale price in June 2019 was $950,000. January 2022, the median sale price is $1,305,000.
Other 5-year Trend Data: Monthly Supply, Total Closed Sales, Average Days on Market, and something most have not seen Shows Per Listing.
